This year sees Aviation Week Network’s CAPA – Centre for Aviation, one of the world’s trusted and comprehensive sources of market intelligence for the aviation and travel industry, celebrate its 30th
birthday.
Established in 1990 by aviation lawyer, consultant and commentator, Peter Harbison, the organisation, originally named Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, has grown to become a leading provider of B2B commercial aviation information, analysis and data.
“CAPA launched 30 years ago with a mission to make a strategic difference in aviation knowledge, delivered with the highest level of intellectual integrity,” says Derek Sadubin, CAPA’s Managing Director. “This has been our guiding force since 1990, during which time we have grown from humble beginnings with a small team in Sydney covering the Asia Pacific region, to a global team located in key cities around the world with a global remit.
We are proud to have been ahead of the curve in predicting critical defining phenomena and trends. Aviation is truly a fascinating industry. We’ve seen the many triumphant highs and challenging lows – all of them offering new opportunities along with the challenges. And even now, as we navigate our way through our most difficult period, it’s important that we still recognise our milestone and reflect on how far we’ve come.”
