Informa Markets Fashion Division Evolves with Event Investments and Sustainable Initiatives

New York, NY., August 11, 2019., The Fashion Division of Informa Markets, the global exhibitions leader that owns and operates world renowned fashion events, MAGIC, COTERIE, PROJECT, FN PLATFORM, WWDMAGIC and many more are preparing for the upcoming MAGIC event where the entire industry will gather on one campus at the Las Vegas Convention Center August 12th-14th, 2019 with Sourcing@MAGIC opening the 11th.

The move of MAGIC to the Las Vegas Convention Center this August represents the first step on the journey to a reimagined MAGIC at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which by 2021 will unveil the $935 million investment making it a world class facility.  This enables each event at MAGIC to be held in individual halls where each community can have their own distinct look and feel, and still be connected to provide a robust experience on one campus.

“By positioning ourselves this August at the LVCC it sets us up for the future to secure traditional market dates that align with the industry and join together under one-roof at a state-of-the-art facility.” says Tom Nastos, Chief Commercial Officer of Informa Markets Fashion Division.

With the LVCC construction underway and with 45 industries competing for space and dates, MAGIC, for one time only, will be moving back to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center for the February 2020 event.  The event will run February 5th-7th, 2020.  Starting August 2020, the Las Vegas Convention Center will become the permanent home of MAGIC and position the event back to traditional market dates.

With support from Informa Markets, the Fashion Division’s investments into education, technology and entertainment will be seen and experienced throughout MAGIC. The enhanced array of amenities for attendees will include educational seminars, expanded entertainment and hospitality options, coupled with the enhanced MAGIC Mobile App, which will now include wayfinding navigation so retailers can easily and efficiently locate brands onsite.  MAGIC has invested in multiple sustainability initiatives, including a new digital badging system.  Attendees will be prompted to download the MAGIC Mobile App where they can easily and efficiently scan their barcodes to receive a wristband for entry.
